Dr. Jaime Romo is a trauma informed care practitioner and consultant, pastoral care specialist and educator with 30+ years’ experience helping individuals and organizations maximize their creativity and collaboration. Dr. Romo is a Minister for Healing and Healthy Environments at Pilgrim United Church of Christ in Carlsbad, CA, a trauma informed community resource and spiritual counselor assisting hospice patients and staff in finding meaning, purpose and connection in life changing events.

As a Traumatic Incident Reduction (TIR) facilitator trainer and educator, He helps people see and transform individual and systemic problems. Previously, his teacher education scholarship focused on multicultural identities in teaching and learning in the San Diego-Tijuana geo-political border region, as well as how institutional and interpersonal trauma impacts mental, physical and behavioral health.

He is a co-recipient of the 2023 Dunbar Award from the College of Pastoral Supervision and Psychotherapy and designs/ leads leadership development workshops for chaplains and educators with a focus on the collective unconscious in groups and organizations.
